#MySundayPhoto – Remains of Winter

“It never snows in Exeter.”
Words I’m sure I said, just a few weeks ago.

This was taken just as our second snow storm in about two weeks was thawing away.

I guess, the question is. Is it going to snow again over Easter? Or will we actually get a chance to sort out the garden?

#MySundayPhoto – Tranquil Colours of Knightshayes

One of many tranquil places we found at the National Trust – Knightshayes estate. These flowers growing, were in the perfect position to catch the sun as it shone over the hill, and through the trees.

We didn’t have time to check it out as much as we’d like, but if you’re in the Tiverton / Devon area, I’d recommend giving it an explore.

Exploring The (Exeter) Lego Cathedral.

Found near the front of The Exeter Cathedral in Devon, a smaller Lego based cousin can be found.

A team of volunteers are involved in both putting the Lego Cathedral together, and speaking to members of the public about the project. The website nicely sums up the idea behind the project:

The Big LEGO® Build is an exciting project to help members of the project discover and engage with the challenges of maintaining the ‘fabric’ (buildings) at Exeter Cathedral. Thanks to donations from people like you, we have already made progress towards building a 300,000 piece model of the Cathedral from LEGO bricks.

We popped down to have a look while exploring the Exeter Christmas market. While the small one wasn’t keen on adding a brick to the Lego Cathedral herself, as you can see, she was more then up for exploring the Lego Cathedral. (Possibly at risk of appearing as a giant monster compared to the Lego guys.)

More details can be found on the Exeter Cathedral website.

#MySundayPhoto – Sunset Over Morchard Bishop, Devon

The view over Morchard Bishop as the sun set the night before my birthday.

This view wasn’t far from where we camped that night, which was the first time our little one went camping. It appeared that she had a better nights sleep than both Mrs Sofa, and myself.
